Brothers

What was Cal up to while Lola was baking? Just what every brother probably does: He barrels into the kitchen to see what she made. Sister shows him, then tells him they're not ready yet. Brother disappears.

Brother comes back again. This time to see if the cookies are ready to eat yet. Checks the oven. Not done yet. Disappear again.

Run back to the living room to get thrown in the air by Daddy.

I couldn't figure out how to make my camera speed up enough to capture Cal really in action. He gets pretty high. Here, he's actually coming down. (Amanda, you know I'm not digging the throws! I get all clammy-handed watching this stuff. Addie's tosses send me over the edge!)

It was dark outside, all fake lighting inside, doing something super fast, tried different settings -- just couldn't get it to do what I wanted. That's kind of the story of me and my camera's relationship most of the time. I see things in my mind but can't make the camera cooperate. Oh well. And, to top it off, I meant to take a pic of the kids finally eating their cookies. I forgot in my hurry to get a bite too!

I'm wondering if this is sort of what it'll be like when the kids are teenagers. That'd be cute. Hopefully Bee will still enjoy helping in the kitchen. And, something tells me that Cal will always be one to help us eat her creations :)

As soon as I saw that picture I thought, "Oh my! I bet Jamie was freaking out." Too funny. I love that Lola loves to cook. Just like her mommy. If she ever feels the need to share her creations, you know where we live.

I'm with you it makes me nervous when they go too high, even though I know K would never not catch them. And brothers will be brothers mine always did the same I guess that's just boys.
